After the sudden, tragic loss of his daughter as a result of an exorcism, a renowned heart surgeon refuses to face the reality that his child has died, despite explanations from forensic experts and even the priest who performed the exorcism. But as the funeral rites begin, mourners witness disturbing changes to the girl’s body, and the priest wonders if something far more sinister – an evil older than Catholicism itself – may once again be lurking for them all . . . .
