Set 183 years before the events of the original film trilogy, The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim tells the story of the fate of the house of Helm Hammerhand, the legendary King of Rohan. A sudden attack by Wulf, a cunning and ruthless lord of Dunlending seeking revenge for his father’s death, forces Helm and his men to make a valiant last stand at the ancient fortress of Hornburg—a mighty stronghold that would later become known as Helm’s Deep. Helm’s daughter Hera, faced with an increasingly desperate situation, must summon the will to lead the resistance against a deadly enemy that seeks their complete destruction.
